Malden Public Schools students in grades K-6 who reside more than 2 miles from the school they attend are eligible to receive school transportation. The Director of the Parent Information Center may allocate unused seats in accordance with the following criteria in the order stated: 1) maintain compliance with the district’s student assignment plan 2) support the transportation needs of students enrolled in programs not offered in every school, 3) provide temporary seating in response to emergency situations. Transportation of special education students will continue to be made through the Special Education Office, 781-397-7245.
